TRAVERSE THROUGH COASTAL – SOUTH INDIA

Enchanting locations. Picturesque unpolluted surroundings. Here lies the beaches of South India especially the beaches of Kerala strung along 550 km palm fringed and sun washed coastline. A tranquil embellished with a vision of green, Kerala is tucked away at the farthest end of India. Coastline along state of Karnataka is secluded and less explored.
As a backwater land, Kerala is beautiful with its magnificent scenery. A maze of rivers, canals and lagoons weave through the inland and it is this palm shaded scenario that sets it apart from the rest of the country. Dazzling beaches dotted all along the coast are more than just pleasing. From the spectacular beaches of Kasargod, Kannur, Thallassery, Mahe, Kozhikode, the twilight spectacles of Kollam and the dramatic laterite cliffs at Varkala to the sheltered coves at Kovalam each unique in itself and are absolutely unforgettable.
Kanyakumari, the southern most tip of Indian peninsula, is the confluence of three seas, the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Marvellous beaches with their multicoloured sands and spectacular sunrises and sunsets lure visitors who come here.

EXOTIC BACKWATERS OF KERALA
Duration: 12 Days.
Best Time: October – Mid March
Land and water share an extraordinary kinship in Kerala. This land which is believed to have sprung forth from the sea, continues to bask in the tender life giving care of the waters that lap gently on its coast, cascade down its hills and valleys and rests calmly in exotic backwaters and lagoons. On cruise scenery flashes up vivid contrasts of lush green and deep blues. As the boat glide along the gorgeous green of the fringed palms ripples in the blue waters blend into little wavelets.
This tour takes you from Cochin to Alleppey through the spectacular backwaters. The cruise from Cochin will transport you to a world of quite and peace, of warmth and friendliness as well as many beautiful sights greet you along the way, such as the Chinese fishing nets, said to have been introduced into Kerala by the traders from Kublai Khan's Court. Again from Alleppey, we will cruise upto Kollam. Through out, the scenery continues to be ravishing. From here we will continue cycling upto Varkala, enjoy fine views at Cape Comorin where Mahatma Gandhi find refugee. The journey ends with a stay in the dazzling beaches of Kovalam and also a drive to the southern tip of India – Cape Comorin.
